positioning of our clients. Augustine is seeking a business development consultant. This position reports to the Vice President,
Business Development.
As a BD
Consultant, you would employ your sales acumen/skills and be responsible for
all steps associated with sourcing, qualifying, and onboarding new clients. The
BD Consultant must have the ability to effectively communicate with the internal
team, which it supports. This role is highly instrumental in the development of
our business.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Qualify potential
clients through a combination of sales collaboration with other Augustine sales
members, cold calls/industry contacts/mailing/referrals and other means. In a lead or support role cohesive
participation and cooperation to achieve a common goal.

Develop and execute a
strategic research plan to identify potential clients in the US and
Canada. The plan will include: online
networking, business directories, professional/social networking organizations,
outreach to business groups/experts, HR resources, etc.

Solid a portfolio of
up to $2-3M-driving revenues within the assigned account scope by being the
owner of the entire Opportunity Management cycle: Prospect-Evaluate-Propose-Close. This involves identify business
opportunities, selling concepts to the client where required and influencing
the client to give additional business based on demonstrated capability and
past performance.

Continuously identify
new channels for prospect research and identification.

Work effectively in
situations involving shared accountability and responsibility.

Schedule sales calls
and presentations with potential clients to present Augustine capabilities

Work internally with
Augustine sales team members and numerous other individuals responsible for due
diligence to accumulate and evaluate client data, create proposals and generate
contracts
- Arrange for and
participate in client assessment fact finding at client locations

Build an Account Plan
for each client – with details of the relationships required , the
opportunities that have to be chased, and the revenue expected from such
opportunities, as well as potential threats and weaknesses that need to be
addressed

Work closely with the
Delivery Team and VP of BD to build customized solutions pitches for the target
account and driving the revenues and delivery of these solutions to the account
scope

Create profitable
proposals and deal structures with Augustine sales team members

Collaborate with the
Delivery Manager (Engagement Manager/Leader) to address all people or
infrastructure related issues that may be affecting the delivery of the project
vis-à-vis the specific client.
- Hands-on experience
with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations

Present, negotiate
and close proposals/contracts with prospective clients

Participate in
transition process to ensure smooth start to operations

Clear, accurate and
punctual reporting of activities

Developing internal
and external business acumen for assigned business group, researching industry benchmarks
and remaining aware of market conditions to develop better sourcing strategies
Background and Experience Required:
- 2+ years service sale/management experience with strong
sales/relationship management/account management experience. Primary Objective: Create long-term service relationships with
clients.
- Must possess the impact, resourcefulness, creativity, planning and
credibility to lead the business development department to positive
results
- Proven record of teamwork and progressively successful track
record of services sales accomplishments
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and
Access)
- Knowledge of corporate HR, recruiting practices and
methodologies, business fundamentals and processes
- Highly developed problem-solving capabilities with strong
organizational and analytical skills
- A high energy level and initiative
- Ability to establish focused goals and priorities and achieve
timely results
- Ability to grasp
complex conceptual selling at executive
levels
- Cooperating and collaborating with other Augustine sales people
to drive sales activities
- Ability to propagate Augustine’s name, message and service range throughout our target markets
