Description:
Introduction:Our client is a leading global engineering, consulting, and construction company specializing in infrastructure development in the fields of energy, water, and information. They have open hiring for Civil Engineers.
Position Description:
Preparing designs for low, medium, high, and extra high voltage substations; design relay settings and coordination using Aspen Oneline software; grounding and raceway physical design; grounding analysis using CDEGS software; equipment research and selection; physical layout; rigid analysis and design using Bus Design software; lighting design; light mean design, battery and battery charging sizing calculations; one line diagrams; DC and AC schematics; prepare wiring diagrams necessary to develop required design documents; work with drafters and designers on work assignments, scheduling, and review; coordinate items including space control, schedule and layout optimization; review and evaluate manufacturer¿s or contractor's proposals, data, reports, drawings, etc. for conformance with company criteria; prepare signed reports, studies or analysis for projects; maintain records, lists, schedules, etc. for engineering projects; and develop conceptual scope specifications and project cost estimates for system upgrades.
Qualifications:
- BS or foreign equivalent in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computing, or related field
plus five years experience. In the alternative, MS or foreign
equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems,
Computing, or related field plus three years experience. Experience
may be prior to MS degree.
- Requires experience in electrical
engineering for high-voltage substations.
- Must have experience in
Autocad, Microstation, Microsoft Office Suite, Bus Design 2 or related
software used to select and verify capability conductor in substations,
CYMCAP 4,2 or related software used to verify capacity of underground
high voltage cable.
- Must have knowledge of or experience in power flow analysis and relay setting calculation utilizing such tools as aspen oneliner or comparable programs.
