Description:
The Procurement and Sourcing Division is seeking a highly motivated, energetic Sr. Business Analyst who will provide market intelligence, reporting, and assist in the development of analytical tools that will be used to drive cost performance on consumer electronics products.
Analysis & Reporting
- Own all aspects of market intelligence for a bucket of commodities including, but not limited to:
o Competitor analysis, industry analysis, forecasting (regressions)
o Clean sheet costing
o Identify technology trends and provide product analysis
o Assist in creating E2E sourcing strategy and provide supporting intelligence
o Drive eAuction with procurement manager from end-to-end.
o Ability to digest data and create summary presentations for executive management.
Systems & Databases
- General understanding of databases and interconnectivity
- Ability to map out/design processes and implement solution
- Advanced user of excel
Project Management/Training
- Ability to manage a project end to end across multiple functional areas.
- Mentor Junior Analysts.
- Develop/conduct training
To be successful, the business analyst must be a focused self-starter who is able to define and take an active role in projects that are not well-defined. The individual expecting to merely execute someone else’s solution will certainly fail at this position. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguities and able to work across multiple organizational lines. He or she must be able to think and act strategically and be able to develop productive, collaborative working relationships with a variety of different people. Strong analytical skills are a must, as is the ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Business/Finance or equivalent coupled with 4-5 years of applicable work experience (MBA is a plus).
- Experience in high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
